We are a small hobbyist breeder located in beautiful Middletown Maryland. Our German Shepherds are bred for confidence, intelligence, solid temperaments, and health. We believe in the importance of always striving towards the betterment of the breed that we love. With this in mind, we have chosen dogs that have impeccable pedigrees.

We want the dogs that we breed to be a joy to live with;  a sound temperament is indispensable. The German Shepherd Dog is bright, alert, and intelligent. We believe that our dogs fit this standard and are great ambassadors for the breed.

We love to live, work, and play with our Shepherds.

We

feel it is important that any dog we breed, should conform to the standards set forth from the German Shepherd Club of America.  Judges evaluate the dog using three basic questions… Does it look like a German Shepherd? Does it act like a German Shepherd? and Does it move like a German Shepherd?

In the conformation ring, Judges (from the American Kennel Club (AKC) and United Kennel Club (UKC)) answer these questions helping us to determine that we have dogs that adhere to the breed standards.  Through  UKC and AKC Dog Show competitions dogs earn their Champion and Grand Championship titles.

Breeding a balanced shepherd means striving to adhere to all specifics of the breed standard. …Not just the part that a breeder might find most important. Focusing just on temperment and the working aspect creates an outcome that can move away from the breed standard just as the quest for a beautiful side gait can lead our breed down a path of extremes.

Health

Our dogs are OFA certified for hips and elbows. We also do other health checks. Healthy dogs produce healthy puppies. Buying a puppy is a long term decision, one that can not be made lightly. When you are making your decision, we would hope that you would consider one of our puppies.
